Scientific presentation Annual Dutch Congress of Anatomy 2017

On the 6th of January PhD-candidate Dylan Henssen gave a presentation about the newest insights in the anatomy of orofacial pain.
In collaboration with the department of Anatomy of the Radboud University Medical Center, the department of Neurosurgery (supervisors are E. Kurt and R. Bartels) investigates which white matter tracts are involved in conducting orofacial pain. For this, state of the art MR-imaging techniques are combined with precise microscopy techniques.
Using these new insights, neursurgeons and neuroanatomists try to develop a new treatment for orofacial pain.
